ANAMOSA – the Pumpkin Capital of Iowa

“150 Years and Still Standing Gourd” is the theme of the 34th annual Anamosa Pumpkinfest and Ryan Norlin GIANT Pumpkin Weigh-off. The theme coincides with the 150th Anniversary of the Anamosa State Penitentiary.  And the chosen annual button design was drawn by an inmate.  Former and current Anamosa State Penitentiary wardens have been invited to be the parade grand marshals.
